This original kitchen was more of an 80's style with handleless oak cabinets, laminate countertops, a narrow tile backsplash, and recessed lighting. The transformation started with the granite countertops which gave the space a more contemporary look and to start lightening up the space. Next, was to install a full-height glass tile backsplash to integrate with the countertops. The lighting was augmented by augmenting the electrical system and installing low profile under cabinet lighting and kitchen island lighting. To finish off the kitchen we painted the cabinets white and added contrasting cabinet and drawer pulls. The result is a kitchen that is more functional and aesthetically pleasing with improved color integration and variable lighting.
